Lower right side abdominal pain. Is it an ovarian cyst? Or is it my appendix?

I know from hearing other people’s apendicitis stories that usually if it’s your appendix, it will hurt if you press and release in that area. Also I read that if you stand on your tip toes and then slam down on your heels it will hurt if it’s your appendix. I’ve done both of these things and there is no pain when I do that. Also, I do not have a fever, I have not been nauseated and the pain eases up when I stand up. Is it possible I have an ovarian cyst? Or coudl I really have appendicitis without the typical symptoms? I know these are questions for a doc but I’m just hoping to get some answers from some people who have experienced appendicitis and/or ovarian cysts. I am scared. Thank you.

I went through the exact same thing pet, it depends how long you’ve been feeling this pain if its over 24 hours I would say it could be an ovarian cyst. I have polycistic ovaries and I freaked out thinking it may be my appendix, turned out I had 7 large cysts in each ovary, I was only 14 when I found out, I’m 18 now

But please if your in extreme pain and you have a feeling it may be your appendix phone an ambulance! If you think it’s not that serious phone your GP tomorrow and tell him your concerns, they will organize an ultrasound for you at the hospital.
