abdominal pain on the lower, right side?

My husband has had this abdominal pain in the right, lower portion of his stomach, slightly below his belly-button but above his hip. It started late at night when he woke up in agony with what he says was a constant, but intense pain in the described area. He then became nauseous and threw up. The next morning, it still hurt, but as the day progressed, the pain lessened. He said, whenever he coughed or breathed in, it would hurt again. Now, 2 days since that night, it’s feeling better, but still sore. He went to the doctor who told him he had a bladder infection, but i don’t think this has anything to do with his stomach pain. I was just wondering what you guys thought it might be. We were afraid it might be something more serious like appendicitis or a gallbladder attack.

Yeah that definately doesn’t sound like a bladder infection…it sounds a lot like appendicitis. i would go back and get a second opinion. good luck!
