upper abdominal pain location

Discomfort in my abdomen?
Recently, left left upper abdominal side of my body has been feeling uncomfortable. There really isn’t any pain, but just a pressure and swollen feeling (especially when I breathe in deep). To try to pinpoint the location of my discomfort, it is directly below my rib cage and off to the left of my left side. Any advice?
have you had a bowel mvement?when i get close to my period i get constipated and have to put my fist on the side where it hurts and rub in and around in circles.then i move to the other side and do the same thing.you can also take a hot bath it helps.but if it was the right side and you had a fever i would say go to er. because it could be a appendicites.
