right abdominal pain fatigue
Severe abdominal pain when I move….?
I woke up this morning with a serious stomach ache that was dull and almost cramp-like. It slowly got worse and worse- to the point where I had to double over in order to walk. A few hours later (and right now) it has subsided and only comes back when I get up and/or move around.
At first I thought it was a urinary tract infection, but now I am not so sure.
Other symptoms:
Pain when I urinate
Fatigue
Slight dizziness
Any advice on what this could be would be greatly appreciated!
The pain is mostly in my middle lower stomach (just on and below my navel).
I am on birth control pills (Yaz).
I have been sexually active for only about a month and a half.
I am 17 years old and I have never had any previous infections.
If it hurts when you pee, it is a UTI! you need some antibiotics. And hydrate yourself.
How old are you. When is your next period supposed to be? And are you sexually active.
In the prevention of UTIs besides staying regularly hydrated, good hygiene is important. Bathing regularly, sanitary wiping (I.E. wipe towards your back, never wiping after #2 towards your stomach)
EDIT: Its got a funny name: honeymoon cystitis and it can be fairly common in newly sexually active people. But its still a UTI, and it still needs the same antibiotics.
Edit: this isn’t something you have to worry about, just let your parents know that you have a UTI (you don’t even have to mention anything about sex) and you need to goto the doctor. It’s probably after hours, so it would be a trip to the ER…
you can goto wal-mart and buy some Azo (pyridium) for symptom relief, but you’ll still need the antibiotics.
