lower left abdominal pain kidney
what could cause severe lower left abdominal pain?
i was recently diagnosed with a uti and im not sure if it is gone yet (bladder cramps). for the past two weeks i have been having period like cramps. after developing a sharp pain pain in my lower left abdominal area i went to the ER and they told me that it was a uti and they were unsure of the sharp pain but they thought it might be in my kidneys even though the blood work came back clean. i have been running a low grade fever (99 to 101). have been nausea’s and have experienced a loss of appetite. the pain in my abdominal area is in the pubic region next to my left hip i can feel the pain in my lower back and it almost feels like i need to always pop my back. if i press on the abdominal area where it hurts the pain is magnified( the pain is a little lower than the sharp pain i had before. any ideas what is causing the pain? i have a history of an ovarian cyst but i am currently on the nuva ring.
It may very well be a UTI still but I would definietly go back to the Doc to be on the safe side – it may be something else
