stomach pain middle night

7 wks Pregnant, and my stomach hurts really bad in the middle of the night. Is this normal?
The pain is in my upper abdomen/stomach area, NOT in my lower abdomen/uterus area. It almost feels like a burning cramp, almost like acid/anxiety/stomach ulcer. Has anyone else experienced this?
Yea I had it in the beginning to, I asked my doctor about it she said cramping is normal during early pregnancy but if its severe cramping then it can be a problem.
