Miscarriage…what to expect!?

I was 6 weeks and 5 days pregnant, but i started bleeding this morning, we went to the hospital who did a pregnancy test and said it was now negative, the Dr said that as it was now negative they didn’t need to do a scan, and that everything would just come away naturally, i’m experiencing mild back ache and front lower abdominal pain, but it’s nothing unbearable, i went to the loo and there was a tissue like clot about the size of a strawberry there, now i seem to be just normal bleeding, but for anyone who has been through this before, can anyone let me know how long this will go on for, will there be alot more clots? will the pain get alot worse? and finally when is it safe to try again for a baby, i guess im kinda in shock at the min and it doesn’t feel real….it doesn’t feel like i was ever pregnant as it happened so early on, but i expect it to sink in later on….grateful for any advice, thanks everyone xx

This happened me only 3 weeks ago and my story is pretty much the same as yours. They didnt examine me cos the test they did was negative. I started bleeding on the Saturday and on the Saturday night I passed 2 clots (Also I know how totally traumatising and scary it is when you see the clots I was so freaked out by it) and after I passed the clots (which I can only assume were the baby and the placenta sack) the bleeding was just like a period for about 7 days and then dark (really dark kind of like mud or tar, sorry TMI i know but just being honest with you) for about 2/3 days. Then once the bleeding stopped it stopped and that was the end of it.
