severe stomach pain women
Ovarian Cyst Question?
For the past couple of years every time I’d get my period I would have intense, severe pain in my stomach, nausia, dizziness, fainting, diarrea, and chills associated with my period. My mom finally brought me to the gyno to see what was wrong and they said I had an ovarian cyst and put me on birth control. It’s been about 4 months and although the severity of the symptoms has decreased, I still get those symptoms. So I started to research and every website says that the symptoms I have require immediate medical attention.
I guess my question is, is it bad that I’m not doing anything more than birth control? I’ve read that many women have had to have an ovary removed and I really don’t want to have to do that.
The birth control pill has hormones in it. Hormones can kill or stop the growth of the cyst. It is a preliminary treatment. However, if it is not gone now, you need to see the doctor again for an ultrasound.
