severe upper abdominal pains
abdominal pain, should i seek medical help?
Since lastnight at around 8, I have been having severe upper abdominal pains. I thought it was just a bad stomach ache as of it went away within about 3 hours or so. The following day I got even worse pains in my upper abdominin and this time I also had pains go around to my back at the same general place as the front. This time it lasted about 4 hours. The pain was almost unbearable. The only way to relieve some of the pain was to lean forward, or arch my back forward alot. My mother says I should take tylenol and then I will be fine. Since this has been a reoccurring thing should I expect it back, or seek medical attention before that? Or ways to lessen the pain if it does come back. What could this be? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you!
If the pain is recurring I would seek medical attention. Pain relievers can aggravate your stomach even worse. This could be something to do with your gall bladder, kidney stones or even your appendix. If the pain is severe, call your Dr or go to the nearest ER.
Hope this helps!!
