Ruptured ovarian cyst?

I had pains in my lower left abdominal area for a few days. Went and saw my family doctor and he believed that it was an ovarian cyst. He did a pelvic exam and then ordered an ultrasound for me. He informed me that it was nothing to worry about but if the pain increased, to come back. I believe that the pelvic exam caused my cyst to rupture as that night I was in excrutiating pain but as it was after 11pm and I was home alone with my 2 children, I dealt with it. I called my doctor in the morning to ask if he needed to see me & I told him I believed the cyst had ruptured. He informed me that there’s nothing they can do for me and should not bother coming down to his office. I have booked an ultrasound but cannot get in for 6 weeks.

I spent the next 2 days at home recovering and went to work today. I am finding that I am still pretty tender & sore. How long does it take to recover. Also, I’ve read on the internet that you can develop an infection?

hi i know the pain uror have been going through i am now 28 but have had 12 of these dam things happen to me the first time the dr said i am over doing my sport and need rest 2 days latter ended up in emergency cause the pain was so bad i couldnt walk they thought it was my apendix but wrong it was 2 burst cyst now i get them aroung every 2-3mnths and cause i am on heart meds i cant take meds for them so of i go to hospital each time but now i have had my tubes done due to cancer i and my ovaris r gone i no longer worry .
