abdominal pain constant hunger
If I go to a GI doc, what will happen?
I think I need to see a GI doc for my intestinal problems (bloating, abdominal pain, nausea, constant hunger), but I am nervous about the tests. How will a standard first appointment go? And what will follow after the initial appt?
My first appointment was a little unorthodox as I was admitted on the spot, but usually they’ll do all the normal measurements of height, weight, etc. They’ll come in, probably press around on your belly a little bit to check for inflammation, painful spots, etc. What happens after the initial appointment depends on what the doc thinks is wrong. With me, it ended up being a hospitalization and colonoscopy, but chances are they’ll just have a follow up appointment with you later on. It’s hard to answer this question just because every one is different, and it all depends on your personal situation you know?
