upper abdominal pain cough
Pain in my left side in left upper abdominal area?
I have been getting a sharp pain, very uncomfortable in my upper left area of my body I say near the ribs.
I only seem to be bothered by it when I lay down, cough, or try to turn to fast.
Also I have been gassey allot and seem to go allot also.
I am thinking it’s a infection in my stomach or intestine.
I also was told I may have IBS.
Any doctors out there can help me.
The really good thing is that there isn’t really a whole lot that can go wrong on the left side of the abdomen. That being said, most often I find conditions such as diverticulitis, ulcerative colitis, or IBS as the most common of these presentations. Of these, only diverticulitis is a “true” infection. Either way, you will more than likely need to have some tests done and probably a colonoscopy. Good luck
