Lower Right Abdominal Pain?
Hiya..Basically for the last month I have suffered from right lower abdominal pain, like a periodpain but im not pre menstrual or menstrual. I have visited my doctor who has tested for ectopic pregnancy, pregnancy, Irritablebowel Syndrome STI’s and other infections, ive had an ultrasound on my pelvis which didn’t show anything unusual. I had a copper coil fitted and they felt this could be the problem so on Wednesday I had in changed to a Mirena coil which has some hormone in it. On the Thursday morning I woke up being violently sick and had one episode of diarrhea Since then I have not been able to keep any food or fluid down and the pain in the abdomen is worsening. I visited my G.P today who has ruled out appendicitis and has said I am a “mystery”. Just wondered if anyone had any idea what might be wrong with me, or if they had a similar problem??
This is perhaps one of the most common causes of lower right abdominal pain. It most commonly occurs between the ages of 11 and 39, though it’s been known to occur at any age. Pain usually starts at or around the belly button and moves to the lower right area. Symptoms include a desire to vomit, reduced appetite and fever. Appendicitis can cause a dull to a very sharp pain.
