Ive got abdominal pain and been to the doctors?

Ive been getting right sided pain and general abdominal pain. Ive had a ultra sound, ct scan and blood tests. Ive got diverticular disease and ibs along with a fatty liver. They said ultra sound all clear ct scan all clear apart from the diverticular disease which they don’t think is the problem and the blood tests are all clear but a fatty liver due to drinking so ive cut right down. The pain is still there a weird feeling and i just feel really down due to it. What could i do to help would even low alcohol cause any problems i really appreciate any help as im getting stressed with it.

If you have a fatty liver through alcohol, the doc should’ve told you what to do medically. In the meantime try to not put too much stress on it, so (unless your GP has said otherwise), avoid alcohol, and stick to a low fat diet. If you are an alcoholic, you must not give up alcohol without the doctor’s guidance – quitting suddenly can cause very serious health problems. For your IBS, you need to work out your triggers and avoid them. Mine for example are certain foods (onions, milk, wheat) and stress. Keeping a diary of how you’re feeling and what else is going on, including what you’re eating, will help determine any links.

If you’re still in serious pain, don’t just suffer in silence, get back to your GP and ask for a referral to a pain clinic, who will be able to help you.
