What could be wrong?

I’ve had back pain off and on for about 2 weeks now. I ended up going to the clinic and I was told I had a UTI and was put on macrobid. The macrobid did nothing for me and during the weekend I went to the ER because I started having lower stomach,groin pain on my left side along with the backache. The Dr from the ER told me once again that I have a UTI and switched me over to Bactrim plus I got a shot of rocephen in the ER. Last night, I was doubled over in pain from my left side and the lower back pain continues despite being on Bactrim. They did a urinalyse on me in the ER so I don’t think it’s kidney stones. Could a UTI cause you to hurt this bad in your lower left side and your lower back? I also have flank pain but theER Dr said it wasn’t a kidney infection.

Go to a doctor outside the ER. They will have more time and patience to do tests. Sounds like a kidney infection
