Bright Red Blood in Feces, Stomach Pain?

I know, I know… “go see a doctor.” This has been going on for a couple of days now, and I have been doing nothing out of the ordinary (other than the Volcano Nachos I had at Taco Bell the other day)…

Seriously though, when I wake up in the morning / any time for about a minute or so before I “pass my weight” in the bathroom, I have a pain in my lower abdomen / lower stomach region, accompanied by becoming really gassy, and both ‘symptoms’ disappear after my business is done. Fecal matter is indeed bright red, though not terribly. “Passing” is not painful in the least, and is not accompanied by any blood in my urine. At all other times of the day I feel fine.

I consume a beer probably about every two days or so, though the only liquid I really drink is water. I live a relatively stress-free life and I eat pretty healthy as well. Any ideas on what is happening? Do I have an ulcer? Is my body rotting from the inside out? How long do I have to live?

Your body is not rotting but blood in the stool needs to be checked out right away. The doctor needs to see you right away, so do not put it off. If it is something on the serious side, early detection is the key to correcting the problem. The doctor needs to know where in your body the blood is coming from. He’ll no doubt send you in for a Colonoscopy. If this is the case, you will get special instructions from the doctor who will be performing the test. Do not wait any longer. Better to be safe than sorry!!!!
