stomach pain locations
Pain in different location after appendix removal?
My husband just had his appendix taken out today laparascopically. He had it done early in the morning and was sent home about 12 hours later. He says he has pain in his lower abdomen from the surgery but says he also has pain in his upper stomach as well. I never had my appendix out so I don’t know if this is normal. Is this typical after appendix removal or is this something to be concerned about? He is supposed to call his surgeon for a follow up appointment tomorrow morning but is this something that should be checked out sooner through the ER or something? Please no rude answers. Thank you.
I would say just call the doctor on call for the night just to check if the pain is father than discomfort, better safe than sorry.
