Methadone withdrawal?

I was on methadone for about 8 months, starting at 100 mgs and I took my last dose of 30 mgs yesterday morning. I already feel like total crap n I know it’s only gonna get worse. I don’t tolerate pain very well and my mental strength is not too great either. So not taking methadone again or having anything to alleviate the pain, cold sweats, stomach cramps, leg cramps, ect. is almost impossible… This is soo much worse than any heroin withdrawal I have ever been through. I still have have methadone on me but I don’t want to take them for a whole lot of reasons. Anyway, I’m just wondering if I go to the hospital for methadone withdrawal is there anything they will give me to make it a little easier?

Why would you stop at 30mgs?? You need to go down from 30, take away 5mgs every week until you get to 5 and then stop. this makes it easier. Methadone withdrawal is worse than heroin and lasts a lot longer too. The hospital will not do anything because really you are in no danger, you can’t die or anything it just feels like you’re going to. Sorry u have to go thru this I know what it’s like… just stick it out it will be worth it!
