Growth spurt, Puberty or Period?!?

I have not ever got my period i am 14. Lately i have been having huge stomach pains, and hunger pains non stop. It has been happening for the last week. It has been constant hunger pains but I am not really hungry. It hasnt stop. Could this be puberty, or signs of my period.
Also could it be a growth spurt? I grew 3 inches over the past year could it be another one?
If it is any of the above how long should these pains last?
3 weeks ago I had the hunger pains but not as bad.
Thank you for the help :)

Cramps are caused by the contraction of your uterus during menstruation. It usually means that the uterine muscles are contracting too hard or too fast. You may feel the cramps in your abdomen, in your back, or even down your legs. Try using an over the counter pain killer with IBUPROfEN or NAPROSYN as the active ingredient. Take it the night before you think your period will start. You may also try taking a warm bath or place a hot water bottle on your abdomen. Some girls feel that mild exercise helps relieve menstrual pain. http://www.beinggirl.com/en_US/pages/articledetail.jsp?ContentId=ART89&utm_source=yahoo_answers is a page that will help you manage cramps with exercise. If the pain still is not managed with this medication, then I think you need to see your doctor.

You are definitely going through puberty, but when your period will arrive is still a guess. You are definitely headed in the right direction…just hang in there. Read the information in

for details on puberty and first menstruation.

The actual flow of your period doesn’t feel like much – you usually can’t feel it coming out. When you actually get a period, you may feel some dampness in the crotch area – this is probably a small amount of blood on your underwear.

Having a dark brown menstrual discharge is not unusual. Menstrual blood may be red, pink or brown. Often girls aren’t aware of this when they first start and don’t even know they are menstruating when in fact they are.

Hope this is helpful, Your BEINGgirl Experts
