stomach pain gastric bypass
I had gastric bypass surgery, wondering if anyone else has stomach pain often?
I had gastric bypass surgery in july of 2008, ive lost a lot of weight but have had a rough go with it. about two or three times a week i get some serious pains in my stomach, they get so bad that they wake me up in the middle of the night and they double me over. they don’t really last long though about twenty minutes and im okay again. im just wondering if maybe anyone else has these same issues or have any advice for me… thank you
Please see you’re doctor! This could be nothing to worry about, or it could very well be a sign of complications. If the pain is over a 2 on a scale of 1-10 after over three months you need to get it checked out by a professional. My mother had a friend who underwent this procedure (although this was over a decade ago so I’m sure progress has been made on the technique) and she ended up suffering from some serious side effects due to the surgery. I don’t want to scare you- after she had some hospitalizations she was completely fine. The point is that she needed further medical care & you may too.
