38w4d thick brown discharge?

so i been having like brown mucus discharge all this week first it was little clots i guess u could call it and then the other day this huge brown glob came out. I know it wasnt from my 37 week exam cause that was 5 days ago. well yesterday i had my 38 week exam and yeah i know the bleeding and crap is normal. BUT the bleeding stopped within two hours. this morning, i wiped and i started seeing mucus again some of it is like light brown yellowish but i kept wiping and it turned into brown mucus it was the color of chocolate and then i got another huge glob of dark brown mucus it was about the size of a quarter am i losing my plug yet? and if i did whats it mean? the doc told me not to call about mucus plug cause its normal. she also said not to call if i see blood unless its period like. so do u think im gonna have the little bub soon or no? oh and this morning i got pains in my stomach i dont know didnt feel like normal braxton hicks it was weird.

Your cervix are dilating, causing you to lose your mucus plug. You might have this discharge for a few days. I lost my mucus plug with my son 3 weeks before I had him and 2 weeks before my daughter was born. My friend however, had her baby jus a couple days after losing her mucus plug.
