Why does my right arm falls painfully asleep every night :( ?

For the last two months, my arm has fallen painfully asleep every single night without fail. I wake up several times through the night in pain, having to either drape my arm over the side of the bed, or stand up and let it hang down, in order to get it to stop hurting. This happens whether I lay on my back, side, or stomach, and no matter how I position my arms. It is always the right arm. I feel it sometimes during the day too, though not as intensely. (I am feeling a mild tingling right now while typing this). I am guessing this is circulation related, but can anyone tell me why this is happening and what I can do about it? I try to maintain a healthy diet, am moderately active and do yoga. I have tried everything from eating pumpkin seeds to taking ginkgo biloba….everything except going to a DR, which I’m guessing is going to be the general consensus of advice givers and I guess I will be resigned to doing. But any other suggestions or advice? Thanks.

is sounds like carpal tunnel syndrome.. there are splints out there to wear but they are useless and waste of money. you can try primrose oil which may help and there is a test EMG that test the nerve function and responses a Neurologist performs that test usually in his /her office about 30 minutes of less. good luck and good health
