stomach pain fainting
Why my lower stomach hurts and I faint? what should I do?
When I have the pain in my lower stomach (strong pain) I think it is because I need to go to the bathroom but then I faint. I have been like this for the last two months, should I be worried?
I agree with everyone else – you need medical attention. However, before you go to the doctor, be sure you have a clear symptom picture so that you can maximize the 15 minutes of face time you’ll likely have with the doctor. For example, write down answers to the following:
What type of pain is it? You said lower part of the stomach, is it in the center or more to the left or right or is it the entire lower region?
Can you pinpoint anything that happens right before the pain…eating certain foods, certain types of movement?
Does it happen at any particular time of day?
How long does it take you to recover once you faint?
Answers to these questions, plus any other symptoms you’ve been noticing, will help – especially if your problem is something that’s off the beaten path of illnesses.
If you need help preparing your symptom journal, please read through the article listed in the source section.
