Suggestions for pain from adult braces?
I am 30 and about to get braces in 3 days. Can anyone suggest something besides Ibuprofen (because I am afraid long term use can damage your stomach and liver) for gum pain?
I know that adult braces hurt more than when you are a teen because your roots are harder to move.
soft foods, tylenol (or other pain killers, take them even before you feel pain, so that you dont have to wait for them to kick in), and a good movie to get your mind off of it. and if you are getting blisters, use wax on your braces (they will probably give you some). its the first night and the second day that hurt the worst, but after that, its all good. lol. good luck with those braces!
