What causes uterus/stomach pain after sex?

My wife has terrible stomach/uterus pain after we make love sometimes. She’s almost crying and once I almost took her to the hospital. Her lower stomach feels bloated now. She’s on birth control pills now and she’s 2 weeks into this month’s pills. Is this common?

It is more common than some people think. Pain during sex is very painful to a woman. She cries b/c of the pain and b/c she wants to please you and enjoy sex as well and that is not happening.

It could be a cyst, which will cause that kind of pain, but usually on the left or right side. It could be a bladder infection, which will cause pain directly under the navel. It could also be an irritated or bruised uterus, which will cause pain in the same area as a bladder infection. Have her lie on her back. Then you press under her navel with your 4 fingers, not including the thumb. If she is in pain, it is the uterus or the bladder and is either a bladder infection or uterus bruising.

Finally, if this this something that has just started happening, she may be experiencing vaginismus (look it up on the internet for more information). B/c of the bloating, I suspect this may be part of her problem.

She will be fine. She has to get to the source of the problem. It will not correct itself overnight though.
