Can a food allergy develop after years of eating the food?

I have eaten fish since I was young but recently I have been ill with diarrhea, nausea, intense dizzyness, headaches, stomach pains and constipation. The only thing that seems to fit is that each time I get these symptoms, I have eaten fish in the past couple of days????

Yes definitely. My step-grandma used to eat cantaloupe until she went into anaphalactic shock and almost died. You should probably go to an allergy specialest and get checked out by him/her. It may also be food poisoning. A good idea would to try a completely different kind of fish in a very small amount and see if you get a reaction. If you do, you are most liely allergic to fish.
