How exactly does prednisone work? (in laymans please)?
Im wondering because there is something wrong my stomach/intestines… every time I take medication for my bipolar it causes inflammation, bloating, and pain. Would prednisone help?
Prednisone works by reducing inflammation and over time can suppress the adrenal glands. It’s meant to be used for short term. It can cause GI bleed and stomach pains. Maybe you need a different med and take it with food. Call doc and tell them. Prednisone isn’t indicated in your situation. It can be a dangerous medication..
