Sudden burning in penis? 10 Points to most thourough answer!!?

This question is for my husband. He was just laying on the couch and literally out of nowhere he has a burning pain inside his penis. He just had a physical not long ago and got his annual std checkup and everything came back negative. There is no pus or blood in urine and does not show any symptoms of a urinary tract, or sudden urge to go. It hurts him juts laying there but inside his penis. Also on and off he gets the same burning through his penis up to his belly button. Nothing makes the stomach pain come or go it just does. But the inside of his penis is burning constantly. Out of nowhere. The dr is closed so i cant go until the morning with him..Any ideas as to what it could be? also we have been on painkillers for 2 years due to an accident and we are just starting to detox with suboxone as of yesterday.( not sure if this would be revevant)
also he just told me when he urinates the pain temporarily gets better
