stomach pain fast heartbeat
Do you think its anxiety?
Two years ago I got a bad stomach flu, I lost 25 pounds and looked really sick. After I got better I began getting palpitations. I went to the doctor and he did a standard EKG. I then began getting chest pain and a rapid heartbeat. He did a 48 hour holter monitor and a echo-cardiogram. He found nothing abnormal no V-Tach or anything like that. I have had countless EKG’s. But to this day I still get chest pain and a fast heartbeat, I barley get the palpitations anymore.
Thank you for your opinions.
It could be anxiety or it could ber a digestive disorder like an ulcer or acid reflux disease. Either one causes phantom chest and heart pain. Then fear can cause the rapid heartbeat.
It’s obviously not your heart. Your just giving your money away to that doctor.
Your fear makes everything worse, you know. Get some good stomach medicine like Zantac or Prilosec and see if that works. They are expensive, but insurance covers them.
If not, it is probably panic and anxiety. Anxiety builds over time til you don’t even feel afraid anymore. But it erupts into instant panic attacks over small triggers. A full blown anxiety attack will put you on the floor shaking from head to toe. But treatment is the same so it doesn’t really matter.
