Im ON ACCUTANE!!!!! need help?

ok well im 17 and i’ve been taking accutane for 3 months now and its working real well. But lately i’ve been losing weight and i eat normal maybe even more than normal. i weighed 136 when i started taking it than my 2nd visit 120 and my last Dr. visit i weighed 114 and thats how much i weigh now. Also i have been having stomach pains alot and headaches and i feel weak sometimes than just lastnight i woke up at 2:12am and i got a drink my head was hurting, my vision was blurry and i could barely stand up than i passed out and hit the kitchen floor and woke up and 2:36am. is this the accutane? please any information would be great. i tried calling my Dr but she wont be in til after christmas and im scared.

Stop taking it for now. Call your doctor and set up an appointment for as soon as you can get in the office.

Accutane is a very effective treatment for acne, but it can also be very harmful to those taking it. I was also on accutane when I was about your age, while it worked very well, I had some unwanted side effects. The cartilage in my knees was destroyed, my night vision is very diminished from what it used to be, and it caused a slight myopia (nearsightedness) in both my eyes.

Don’t mess around if you are having a reaction to it. Stop taking it and contact your doctor.
