Bloated stomach, pain around ovary – what’s wrong?

Here are my symptoms:
- very bloated stomach
- abdominal pain and sometimes cramps
- right pelvic pain
- pain when pressure is applied to the upper abdomen (though this could be stress attributed)
- constant lower-mid back pain, at times burning
- occasionally upper back pain
- stabbing pain around the area of my right ovary, a few times last month, and very often this past week

When I wake up in the mornings, I only have abdominal discomfort, then everything else starts afterwards. My period ended last week, and I had a urinary tract infection about 5 weeks ago, which I left untreated for 5 days, and only treated with Cranberry tablets. I believe I am ovulating now, as I have the cervic clear sticky fluid thingy. My periods are rather irregular, and I often get incredibly bad back pain when I have PMS.

Is there something wrong with me? I have not experienced this sort of pain before.

I really don’t have too much to offer you as far as “knowledge” but…

I would say go to a doctor, and if you don’t get the satisfaction you are looking for see another one for backup.

Maybe try some breathing/relaxation exercises or take a relaxing bath with some Aveeno or something like that.

The advice I think I read that someone gave you about taking Motrin sounded good. Just be sure not to take it with any medications that might make your stomach feel sick. I know this because about two weeks ago I took some Motrin with Excedrin because I was feeling horrible, and I felt really sick to my stomach.

I was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian disease a long time ago. I remember being put on the pill for a while which helped. It is not “serious” per se…I have had worse conditions in my life, but it can be painful, annoying, upsetting, etc.

Good luck to you =)
