Kidney stones while pregnant?

Im 31 weeks pregnant and have been to the doc a couple times about a month ago for severe upper back pain, they did a sonogram and found nothing. Im tired of people telling me it’s just because I’m pregnant, it was worse than that, it had me doubled over and in tears. I finally found out it was most likely due to my gall bladder and my diet. But now I’m having pains right where my kidneys are. And urgency to urinate, and pain and trouble doing it when I do so the doc gave me some antibiotics. Now I’m passing kidney stones and still having kidney and abdominal pains. Should I call and tell my doc i’m passing kidney stones? I mean that means the pains about over right? and its not like they can do anything ya know? I don’t want to sound like a big complainer calling and complaining about more back pain. But its quite uncomfortable and painful.

Unless you have multiple kidney stones you’re correct, your pain should be about over. I still think since you are pregnant you should call your doctor and let him/her know what’s going on with you. It should be interesting to see which pain you consider worse, kidney stones or labor, I hear they are very close. I’ve had kidney stones so I know what that feels like…lol. Good luck and I hope you feel better very soon.
