Trying to find my diagnosis, can you help?

A few years back, I became so stressed out due to adverse treatment by a certain person that it caused physical complications in my midsection. A few decades later, the symptom and complications are still there. My bowels, rectum, and lower stomach are inflamed with a sharp pain. My scrotum swells to a degree that I have to sit still for hours. I have gone to the doctors, and the only thing they can confirm is that I do have an inflammation in my body. I was never given an outright diagnosis. This is important because I am applying for benefits, and I need to know what to call it. I went to the hospital in the military but do not know what they called it. All the complications are physical, not mental. It is not PTSD or whatever. The after effects were all physical in nature. Even when I am perfectly okay, it still happens. I do not have any emotional issues, for I have dealt with that already.

Nonspecific inflammation? It sure doesn’t sound like any connective tissue or autoimmune disease. Sounds more like an inflammatory bowel disease or an inflammatory condition of the colon, perhaps, or in the pelvic floor. I suggest that you get some kind of label for this. Speak to you doctor. And ask about treatment options.
