Unbearable lower abdominal pains?

I’ve had severe lower abdominal pains for a long time. When I was younger I went to the hospital for them but the doctors could never tell me anything. They come in several painful sharp waves that make me just curl up in pain, and sometimes I get diarhia. It usually happens around 9:00 every night and is just impossible to live with. Would love to have someones opinion on this thank you so much.

Could it be Irritable Bowel Syndrome(IBS)?
