Sharp stomach pains during pregnancy?

I’m 18 weeks pregnant with my 1st child and all of a sudden I just got these sharp stomach pains. At first they would shoot from my lower stomach all the way up to my chest and cause some chest pain and lower back pain for a few minutes. Now the chest pain is gone but it hurts to stand up or walk. The only relief is to lay down with my legs propped up. What could be causing this? Is there something seriously wrong or is this normal? Anyone else ever experience this? I don’t have bleeding or any other signs….HELP!

They are called round ligament pains. They are your stretchy uterine muscles flexing for the first time. They feel very sharp, and can take your breath away. It won’t last forever.
