27yo, male , known case of congenital AV block , presented to the ER with sever epigastric pain associated with vomiting and sweating .. what should be mentioned to exclude abdominal causes of pain. ( p.s. he was diagnosed as MI by ECG ) plzz help me
Differential for epigastric pain with N/V is pancreatitis, early appendicitis, cholecystitis. You need more details about the pain (what makes it worse, is it associated with eating etc.). Ultrasound can detect gallstones. CT scan for appendicitis and pancreatitis. Blood work to look for white count, elevated pancreatic enzymes, elevated LFTs.
