stomach pain brown tongue
SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME, EMERGENCY.?
my friend called me yesterday and told me that her stomach was hurting VERY bad.. she said she could cry from the pain, im not exactly sure where the pain was… but she just said it hurt extremely bad.. and she was really shaky, she told me her legs were shaky.. i told her to take some advil, tums, and pepto bismo… i told her to go to the doctor asap because of the pain, however her parents are out of town for 3 more days.. i feel really bad, she is only 15..
now this morning she woke up AND HER TONGUE WAS BROWN. literally… like it looked like she put a brown marker on her tongue..
WHAT COULD THIS BE.. I FEEL SO BAD FOR HER..
and i dont know any other information about it, she is at school right now.
what could this be? what can i do to help her? or tell her?
i am trying to call a nurse.. but the hospital near is not answering.
[scratching my head in puzzlement] The pain can’t be too bad or she wouldn’t be in school today.
Calling nurses and hospitals on behalf of your friend probably won’t be helpful. They are not going to make a diagnosis or anything over the telephone. They will almost certainly tell you to bring her in to be seen.
She should go to the school nurse.
If there is no school nurse available, she should call her parents.
If the pain comes back and/or she’s not able to drink water, etc., she should call 911 and go to the emergency room.
