post cesarean tips?

i had a c-section on october 19th, so i’m 3 months 3 weeks postpartum. I still bleed every time i work out, even though my exercises are very mild and mostly stretching. I still have a lot of abdominal pain and yesterday I moved a lot of furniture, really overexerted myself and today i’m in a lot of pain.
a loooot.
when will i stop needing to baby myself?!
and how did you lose weight after a c-section when working out is next to impossible? or am i abnormal in this.
I don’t know who gave you all thumbs down, sorry what an idiot. Thanks for all the help ladies, I’ll call my doc tomorrow.

This definitely varies from woman to woman!!
I was working out as soon as the doctor said I could which was 6 weeks after I had my babies. I was NOT bleeding 3 months after having my kids though, and definitely didn’t bleed more after exertion, so you’re gonna want to talk to your doc for sure on that one. My hubby and I moved my mother in law a few months after my c-section, and it DID NOT cause a lot of pain, if any at all.

You can start out with light exercises such as walking and biking, and even light weights, and just increase the intensity and duration as tolerated. When you are feeling better, you can add your ab exercises (many different variations on the crunch), leg lifts, jumping jacks, push ups, hiking, etc. Pretty much whatever you did before you had your baby, you can do after you have your baby. Make sure you drink a lot of water, milk, etc….no sodas and such. Eat a lot of fruits and veggies and meats (for protein), get plenty of rest, or as much as your baby will allow.
This will get better!!

Good luck and best wishes!!
