acute lower left abdominal pain in women question.
what do these symptoms indicate…
sudden pain that woke my girlfriend up, felt in lower left abdomen, a day after starting her period. she is 28 yrs and has had an ovarian cyst 10 yrs ago.
If it was not just a passing twinge I would take her back to the doctor now. Many things can cause abdominal pain. An appendix can even be in a different place than normal, usually somewhere on the right side though.
Even scar tissue can interfere with the intestine.
