Can infection from an abscessed tooth spread if not treated?
Hi!
I developed an abscessed tooth about a year ago. I finally had the tooth removed after 6+ months with the infection, but NEVER took antibiotics. The dentist and surgeon never prescribed them to me…is this normal?
Since this time I’ve had digestive problem s(diarrhea and abdominal pain) , and bad breath, and such. I’ve always had food allergies and figured it was just another developing, but now i’m starting to wonder if I could have some bacteria overgrowth? Is this possible?
I have a doctor’s appointment in April, but was just doing a little research of my own. Any help would be great! Thanks!
Your symptoms are not from that previously infected tooth that has been extracted. All infection from this tooth was cleared up months ago.
