Is it common to freak out when you have your first period?

If you did,What happened?
I drank out of a broken glass that had cracks in it and I didn’t realize until I was almost done drinking the it,so the next day when I had my first period and very very very severe stomach pain then saw a fleshy bloody mass in the toilet after I thought I had to poop,I freaked out at the office building I was at and then a ambulance had to come and take me to the hospital cause I thought I was internally bleeding,it was only my period.I mean I think anyone might think that in that situation,right?
I knew what a period was but internal bleeding made more sense to me at the time cause of the broken glass…yeah but my past bf said that it was weird..but I think it’s common

lol,,, thats cooler than my 1st period story,, all i did was cry my eyes out,, i did not want my period!!!,,lol
