Upper Pain in Pregnancy…?

I am 32 weeks pregnanct with my second child. For the past week I have had very sharp pains on the upper right side of my abdomin (sp). The doc thought it was my gallbladder but after an ultra sound… he now tells me there is nothing wrong with my gallbladder…in fact its perfect. My liver levels are slightly elevated and I have been vomiting.

The pain only comes when I am standing or walking…its often so painful I can’t stand up right…I have to bend at the waste if I am standing. As long as Im sitting or lying down, the pain goes away completely. When standing, if I hold the bottom of my stomach up, it relieves the pain a bit. I was given vicodin and it barely took the edge off the pain.

I have been tested for almost everything under the sun, gall stones, liver issue, appendix, hep A…nothing seems to be coming up on any of the tests.

Any one experience the same thing or something similar… My doc says I am perplexing him..

I also have had upper abdominal pain during pregnancy. however for me, it continues no matter what position I am in (standing, laying, sitting, etc) My doctor told me that it was probably severe indigestion/heartburn and to start keeping track of what I was eating. Sure enough- I learned that if I cut out aggravating foods (for me these are mainly milk and tomato based foods), the pains got better!
It’s worth a try :)
good luck to you! I’m sorry you’re miserable!
