Question About AntiHistamine Side Effects of Diarrhea/Abdominal Pain (Claritin & Zyrtec)?

I have a chronic hives condition (called Cholinergic Urticaria).

I have taken Zyrtec before, and it provides a little relief from the itching and hives. However, I have recently noticed that it is causing me stomach pain and diarrhea.

If I try claritin, is it possible that I may not get the same side effects? Or will all anithistamines cause stomach pain/diarrhea?

Different antihistamines can give different side effects. Your best bet is to simply try it yourself to see if it causes you stomach pain.
