Gynaecolgy Appointment very painful? Need Answers Please!!?

Hi, 17 year’s old, was referred to a gyno with lower left abdominal pain, pain during sexual intercourse and burning when urinating. The gyno done a trans-vaginal scan, which caused me a lot of pain, that I kept tensing without realizing? Then he put the speculum in and took swabs, still was causing me pain. After he done a bimanual exam, when he was pressing on the left side of my abdomen, the pain was intense, which put me in tears.
Does anyone know why I was getting such pain?

Usually if you are tensing without realizing it, its at least somewhat a physcological problem. I don’t mean you are crazy but lots of women have vaginal tightening like you describe that leads to painful intercourse and exams. Most of the solution is a program of getting you used to insertions so that your brain no longer tightens. It can be a hard road to travel and its hard to keep your spirits up at times. As much as you want sex your body seems to resist it which leads to self esteem trouble. Your doc should be able to suggest things to try, if they don’t, contact me.
