lower abdominal pain swelling
Please, what could be wrong with my mum (lower abdominal pain)?
A few weeks ago my mum began to experience severe abdominal pain and spent many days in bed and thought it may have been a kidney infection. She had an unfortunate side effect of not being able to control her bladder quite so well. She went to see the doctor for a smear test but she couldn’t do it due to a great amount of swelling and internal bleeding (she was completley unaware that she might be bleeding). It’s now very very tender and has swollen to a great size. What worried us more is that she has been ok all day and suddenly felt the need to be sick.
It seemed to develop very quickly and is getting worse all the time. She will be seeing the doctor again soon (next week) but I was wondering what it might be so that it doesn’t come as such a shock…Please
My mom had something similar to this. She was having bad pains in the lower left side of her abdomen. She couldn’t walk very well because of it and had a weak bladder. This persisted for about a month until she seeked treatment and found out she had something wrong with her ovary, which had to be removed.
