Do abdominal hernias have any other symptoms besides local pain?

A healed cesarean section has weakened a woman’s stomach muscles to the point of a small hernia bulge. Is it possible for this condition to cause diarrhea, gas, integestion after eating? The swelling doesn’t change but is sensitive to strain.

Hi- If this continues Please contact the Physician that did the C-section. There are other symptoms of a hernia, such as the bulging as you pointed out. The other symptoms seem to be more of an intestinal/gastrointestinal nature. There is such a thing as a Hiatal Hernia, which, when suffering from this, a person should NOT lay down for about an hour after eating, eat small portions of food several times a day, and go to the Physician to check this out.
