Possible causes for lasting abdominal pain?
I’m a 23 year old male, and have been having what i assumed were gas pains for a week now, and today the pain is more acute and has moved to my sides, kind of into my ribs and back as well, just wondering if anyone has encountered this before. Sometimes it’s a stabbing pain. i don’t want to waste the doctors time in the er if its just something that will go away but the pain is just grinding on my patience.

Pain for a week isn’t wasting the doctor’s time-it could be something serious like appendicitis (mostly fatal if left untreated; my sister thought when she had it that it was just period cramps/upset stomach) so its definitely worth seeing a doctor; better safe than sorry!
