Right Upper Abdominal Pain Under Ribs Towards Back?
I have had discomfort in the upper right side of my abdomen, under my ribs, that radiates towards my back. The discomfort is not severe, but it has been a week and the discomfort is still there and not getting any better. What might this be? Sometimes it has a pinching sensation but most of the time it feels sore. I have a doctor’s appointment on the 29th of September, but should I see a doctor sooner?
A friend said that it might be my gallbladder. Could that be a possibility?
I may be off the mark, since the general consensus is a pinched nerve but I think it could be something else. In your right upper abdomen, there is your liver, gallbladder, and right kidney (towards your back). The question I should be asking you is if you’ve had a history of UTI’s. My thought is it could be pyelonephritis or possibly kidney stones.
