Vominting, headache, abdominal pain…?

Hi.

I am 19 years old and I woke up early on Wednesday morning vomiting and continued to vomit every 1/2 hour or so until the early afternoon. My mum called the NHS Direct and they said I have the flu. I have since suffered from:

1. Turning hot and cold every so often
2. I get headaches,
3. Dizzy spells
4. Feeling sick
5. Tired/no energy
6. Severe abdominal pains
7. Severe lower back pain
8. I haven’t eaten properly since Tuesday but I have been drinking a lot
9. Groin pain

I will be going to the doctors today but just wanted some ideas about what this could possibly be.

Thanks x

Agggggh! Gastric flu!…follow the following:
1) No fatty or dairy food for 24 hours
2) Drink plenty of water (at least 2 litres a day)
3) Take paracetemol (gentle to the stomach) for pain.Under no circumstances do not take Nurofen
4) Take Avomine for the nausea. This is similiar to Stemetil with the added benefit of it being an antihistamine
Antibiotics is useless if you only have the above symptoms as all you have is a viral infection and antibiotics are useless against viruses. However if you get worse…or develop a fever….you may need them as you may have developed (from the viral infection) a bacterial infection
