Worried sick please help!?

My husband has had horrible abdominal pain for the last few days and yesterday it became unbearable and he went to the hospital well they did a ct scan and told him he has diverticulitis. Well today he still has abdominal pain and more symptoms started today he now as weakness in his legs he said it feels like the muscles are tight and like when he crashed his motorcycle a few years back. He is also having blackouts and dizzy spells as well. Anyone got any ideas on what it is? please help I am so nervous I don’t want to lose him.

So they told him he has diverticulitis after the CT scan.

Did they put him on antibiotics and tell him to change his eating habits? The doctor must have told him something …

If it was just continuing bowel discomfort and some dizziness that’s one thing, but if he’s having blackouts, that’s not a good sign! He might not be getting enough food if he’s had to cut out most foods b/c of the diverticulitis and the blackouts are being caused by low blood sugar. Or, he could have a blocked colon or the infection may have spread.

You have to figure out what’s going on in case it is something serious and potentially life-threatening. Go to the hospital or call his doctor!
